New iMac

I'm excited. Megumi has given me permission to replace my old iMac, bought in 2000, for a newer model. I have looked around and decided to buy a used 17' iMac, which I will be going to order tonight in Akihabara.

With this, I will be able to make DVDs of Rosie from the footage we have taken with the video camera, so look out relatives!!! I will soon be able to move on to the next level of oyabakaness!!

Wow, and you managed to post a non-Rosie picture!

Don't forget the Airport Extreme card. That way your iMac can be a WiFi basestation too!

Gen,
Sorry, do you mean that if I install the card, I would not need an Airport - the iMac itself becomes an 11.g/b wireless station? I thought I would need both the Airport station and card.

Yes, you can make a Mac a base station, but remember it has to be switched on all the time etc.

Apparently the iMac just arrived - I gave Megumi instructions on how to install the extra 512M of RAM and the OS (Panther), but she gave me some lame excuse about not being able to do it. Just can't get the staff these days!!!
