...hit the Tokyo area yesterday. The biggest one ever, or something.

We stayed indoors, safe and dry.
Posted by Gary at October 10, 2004 10:27 AMI happened to be in Ikebukro station at one point during this. The place was falling apart. Leaks and puddles everywhere. Loads of large globs of rain sodden dust balls fell out of the aircon ducts all over the place. I enjoyed watching the panic stricken station workers scurrying about in their attempts to take control back away from the typhoon.
Posted by: Andrew at October 10, 2004 10:54 AMI stayed inside all day until the rain stopped. Since I'm in Mitaka, nothing really seemed to be happening except for a whole lot of rain. I heard that some people tried to go out for a few minutes and wound up turning back, though.
Oh, I've got a keitai number now! If you'd like it, please email me--would love to talk with you and Megumi when there's time.
Am linking to your blog, by the way.
Posted by: Jessica at October 10, 2004 01:37 PMWhat is with the umbrella? It must be like a security blanket. But I will chalk it up to habit.
Posted by: Paul at October 15, 2004 10:54 AMI was in Akasaka during that Typhoon! I remember being stung in the face by rain and falling over and sliding across the ground - much to the amusement of my friends.
