Teamwork

There were 20 of us at the weekend, and it was the determination and teamwork of the whole group that enabled us to win.

GET IN!!!!

Anyone who has been reading for a little while will know that I play football. The Saitama Jets, founded in 1996, is a decent team of fairly competitive Japanese lads and assorted foreigners. We have played in the All-Japan ALT Soccer tournament since 2002, and seen it grow into a huge competition. This weekend was the national finals at Saitama Stadium, where the best teams from east and west Japan meet to battle it out for the title of national champions. As you can probably guess from this picture, we won!!!
Not only that, we beat our rivals, last year's champions, Ni-Ni-Niigata in the final.

Xmas and New Year

Bit of a hiatus again. Apologies.
We went away for Xmas to see family and friends in England. It was Megumi's first Christmas in the UK, and Angelie's first time to meet my family. We had a very nice time, despite the 4 inches of snow and the 80 or so kilos of luggage we attempted to bring back with us...
