I moved into our house in November 1998, and lived with Colin for almost 2 years. At that time, neither of us thought about the garden at all. It was just a space we had to stand in to hang our washing!
When Megumi moved in, she wanted to clean it up a little, and so Dad and Marlene kindly gave it a make-over when they came to stay (I made lunch and cups of tea!). Since then, Megumi has constantly improved and tended to our many plants, and even forced me into cutting down our kaki (persimmon) tree with my bare hands!
