None of the girls sleep with a cover on, so we need to wrap them up warm at night. Don’t know why, but they always kick off their blankets, quilts etc.

It is in November that this special celebration called shichi-go-san (in other words 7-5-3) is observed, which sees 7 year old girls, 5 year old boys and 3 year old girls and boys celebrating together. On that day, parents accompanied by their children in their most splendid garments, visit the Shinto sanctuary where they offer prayer to the Gods, asking them to protect their progeny and to provide them with prosperity, longevity and hope
